All kidding aside, the Federal and State governments already control far too much of our land without doing anything productive with it.
Agreed, and it ain't all out west. This map isn't high enough resolution to show the growing web of greenways and properties under the control of various land trusts.
Our "republican" governor just announced that they were buying 2000 acres right on the edge of my little town. Its part of $70 million in state and federal funds to buy land and other projects.
