Trends can change in a heartbeat. I wish I shared your optimism, but I've watched the people in Iran, Egypt and Afghanistan cheer while they closed their minds and voluntarily stuck their own necks into the noose of radical islam. I believe we are headed towards a very bloody denouement between the forces of radical islam and what's left of Western civilization.
Point is that there is an organized movement to defame Christan's in Indonesia under the guise of “Save Maryam”. Very disgusting stuff, IMO.
Makes me kinda wonder if the next war will me Moslems attacking Mexicans, who prefer to follow the ideology of Azlatin (sp?)
The US southwest, all of Ca, most of southern Nevada and possibly AZ and Nm will be given to Mexico.

If the West ever stops being apologetic for its success and advancements, what you predict may come true. Perhaps islam may eventually really overstep and incite the West and Christianity to respond. But I'm not hopeful because we are so damned PC about islam. And how will we eradicate radical islam? Maybe destroying Mecca would do it, but that alone won't be enough.
That's my belief too.
