My daughter -- who's a pretty smart cookie -- she graduated Phi Beta Kappa -- was pre med, but decided to go to grad school for medical illustration. Her program required her to take gross anatomy with the medical students, and she casually dropped (she's very low key) that she ranked 3rd or so in a class of a couple hundred. I tried to encourage her to become an MD, and not practice, but she had her "dream" job before she even received her degree. So that idea fell on deaf ears.
Our loss. She's having a lot of fun with her job, though!

Good for her. She’s probably a lot happier as well. My daughter is double majoring in ballet. I keep telling her to go dance. She won’t make a lot of money, but she will be a lot happier
