Congress is rich -- unbelievably rich. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, 249 of the 535 congressmen are millionaires. That's 47%. By comparison, about 5% of U.S. households are worth more than $1 million.
Am I supposed to be outraged or something? Because I'm not.
On the other hand, I'd be scared to death if the income of Congress matched the general population.

Like all Moslems, the US Congress and their staff,
are IMMUNE to ObamaCARE and DeathCARE.
How special is THAT?

So now we find out who the “RICH” are. Of coarse they made thier money at our expense not because of hard work and entreprenuerialism. Those evil CEO's just have to add criminal to thier resume

I bought a whole lot of shares of CSCO back in 1995.
Sold it in March 2000 at the height of the dot com bubble.
Made a ton of money.

Knight Capital (KCG) is an interesting case. Notice the report on the significant stakes held in that company even with the stock collapse. Wonder what they know?

When the American people bought GM, the entire congress should have been forced to divest in every investment and put all their investments in GM.

The stocks shown are the best companies on earth. It is not unreasonable for them to be popular with congressmen
Everybody should own them
To do so is to place confidence in America.

I’d go further and require them to be subject to Social Security with no special Congressional pension, and Obamacare with no additional coverage allowed other than what they’re able to acquire out of pocket.
Nothing like having skin in the game to make somebody care about the consequences of their actions.

These are some of the most widely owned U.S. stocks. Nearly anyone with a 401(k) plan, who has money in US stock funds (by choice or default) owns these stocks through their mutual funds.

Not only do we need to make this completely illegal, We need to make sure the people upon leaving office no matter how they leave can not use the info they obtained ever again nor can they pass it on.

Insider trading is virtually impossible to stop. As treasurer of a fairly large publicly traded corporation I knew the monthly financial results weeks before even the CEO knew ... more so the general public. Every company has a person like me.
