Tom Morello rips Rage Against the Machine fan Paul Ryan
Los Angeles Times ^ | August 17, 2012 | August Brown

First New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was rebuffed by The Boss. Now another well-know liberal musician has spurned the advances of a right-wing politician-fan.

In a brutal Rolling Stone editorial, Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello calls Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney's recent vice presidential pick, the "embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades."

Another "open-minded" pinko exposed. Ryan is scaring plenty of these crackpots.

I hope Ryan just plays Rage whenever he goes on rallies just to piss off Morello. This POS is one of RS’s favorite lib musicians who loved to rip on Bush at every issue. Morello’s only talking point is he was a ‘I used to volunteer for the republicans now I’ve seen the light blah blah’.

Tom Morello—commie born with a silver spoon in his mouth. I really hate that he’s such an awesome guitarist.

I just read his Wikipedia entry. Maybe he associates with the Chicago-Kenyan in the White House.

"His mother was a schoolteacher from Marseilles, Illinois, who earned a Master of Arts at Loyola University, Chicago and travelled to Germany, Spain, Japan, and Kenya as an English language teacher between 1977 to 1983. His father was a Kenyan participant in the Mau Mau Uprising, and served as Kenya's first ambassador to the United Nations."

I’ve never heard Rage Against The Machine.

Can anyone name a song they did?

Celebrity worship is a sign of neo pagan decadence. The opinion of a pop culture guitarist is simply not that insightful or important. The fact it makes national news reminds us just how vapid large segments of the population has become.

“commie born with a silver spoon in his mouth.”

Isn’t that the way it always is...people who have actually LIVED under Communism and made it to the USA 100% HATE Marxism! By the way, how did his family make their money? Most of these red-diaper brats come from families in monopoly-type entities like utilities, don’t know their ass from their elbow about real businesses.

They have one good song...seriously, Renegades of Funk...that is it.

So, I encourage everybody to find video of Ryan with that song on it and play it on your FB and blogs lol.

Make sure you download their music for free if you like it.

Just STFU and play.

Nothing says “Fight The Man!” quite like drawing a paycheck from Sony for the last two decades.

As someone who has been in Iron Maiden tribute bands for years I can easily say that Tom is a talentless hack. My son agrees.

Oddest thing. I have never heard of this guy Tom whatever, but I have heard of Paul Ryan and fully expect him to take the oath of Vice President while, at the same time, this guy Tom something continues in his role as an insignifcant nobody.

I remember a few years ago, someone asked Ric Ocasek of the Cars his political leanings. It was a national radio show. In so many words, he said it was a private matter. Then, when pushed, said something about Bob Dylan and how he was a political voice. It was a dignified way to respond without responding.

“embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades.”

This guy doesn't get that the machine is a suffocating, oppressive; overreaching government bent on stamping out individual liberty?

Sounds like the dude is raging against freedom and freedom of thought.

He needs to change the band name to just “The Machine”
