Furthermore, if the FBI decides to take someone to a mental hospital, does that mean an automatic removal of the person’s RKBA, for involuntary commitment? (Can it be challenged?)

Interestingly, it was the go to guy on communism in the FBI during the 1950's that put out the 45 Goals of Communism which was read into the Congressional Record:

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

A reporter once stated the FBI stood for the Federal Bureau of Incompetence. Maybe they are the modern version to the Redcoats...a little irony there.
