Coming late to the thread after reading that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staffs claims these SF vets don’t have the right to speak publicly about this isssue! (see threads here on FR, forgot to copy to link them). So I sent a comment to the JCS saying I was apalled at his abysmal ignorance of the US constitution and the freedom of speech for civilians. I demanded he publicly admit his error and publicly apologize to these outstanding vets. Here’s a link to the DoD JCS comment page:
