“When we are born, we are the ultimate ideological purists.”
I’m going to stop you right there. Your very first sentence is completely wrong. When we were born, you and I, we were depraved sinners. To develope moral absolutes we wouldn’t violate comes with age and growing up. Of course, maybe some just never learned there are indeed moral absolutes that should not be violated.
Promoting Abortion and Homosexuality.....things Romney has done, and never truly repented of, are MORAL ABSOLUTES to me. I won’t help elect a baby killer to figher another baby killer. You ABO sellouts are doing just that.
How about, you don’t stop anybody “right there”?
To you,we are all ABO sellouts.
To me, I am a freedom loving American. Freedom I KNOW I will lose under Obama, and not only for me, but for everyone reading this.
God will reward you for your ideological “purity” someday, I am sure.
For the rest of us, we have a country to save.
I've wondered about this. I'm a member of the Ohio and National Right to Life Committees and have been for many years. On August 12th, the NRLC released this statement:
WASHINGTON Today, the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), the federation of 50 state right-to-life affiliates and more than 3,000 local chapters, praised Governor Mitt Romneys choice of pro-life Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan to be his running mate. National Right to Life announced its endorsement of Governor Romney in April.
How does that jibe with you calling Romney a "baby killer"? Is the NRLC an organization of "baby killers, too?
Try to keep up, SV.

Romney on Abortion
Pro-Life
“Romney previously supported a womans right to decide, but he is now adamantly opposed to abortions, unless it involves cases of rape, incest or if the mothers life is in mortal danger.
During the 1994 Massachusetts senatorial debate against the incumbent Senator Edward M. Kennedy, Romney explained that he does not belief in imposing his personal beliefs unto others, and that, as a result of the death of a relative from an illegal abortion issue, his family has supported Roe V. Wade since 1970, and the right of a woman to choose. In 2007, Gov. Romney subsequently explained in an interview with USA TODAY that he no longer feels the same about the issue, and cites his earlier position as wrong.”
I don’t care who you are: that’s a hell of a lot better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, i.e. Barack Hussein Obama.
Thoughtful, well-written article, mkjessup.
However, I still want Mittens stressing over my vote.
Particularly over this issue, and our southwestern border.
All the way up to November 5th.
Thanks for the ping.
Seems like there’s a lot of CINOs trying to separate conservatives from their conservative principles on this thread. Such a thing is not conservative. They should instead be going out converting 0bots to mittbots rather than sowing discord among conservatives.
Romney may not be as pro-life as you would like, but he sure as heck never cast a vote to kill a "viable foetus" as Obama did!
So-- being a "purist" by not voting for Romeny may work for you; it sure doesn't for me. IMHO, it will only help elect Obama, and give him the opportunity to finish the destruction of our "free republic" he has so well begun!
