Kasparov got arrested because he crossed a police line. He said so himself though he claimed it was an accident. But given the circumstances he shouldn't have even been there for these "ladies" do not deserve support.

He was very concerned about his own rights but neither he nor the punk rock band was in the least concerned about the rights of the parishioners of that church to freely assemble and worship in their own church, or the rights of business owners whose property the punk group has violated.

That doesn't make Pootie Poot a prince on other matters but the punk rock group asked for everything they have been handed because they have no respect -none at all- for the rights of others. I wonder if two years will be enough to teach their juvenile brains to respect other people's rights because other prisoners may not be as accomodating as the state. If they were just protesting against Pootie Poot they could do it on a soap box, on the internet, or shout it from their balconies... they don't need to use an unwilling congregation's church for a venue for their obscenities. And if they had confined their complaints to a legitimate soapbox, and had been arrested merely for speaking, then they would have a more realistic expectation of getting sympathy. But that is not what they did.

Mocking God in a church is not a good PR move except among the godless.
