Jeff Davis Tax Commissioner Susie Kersey said she's received nothing but compliments for the plaques of scripture and other inspirational messages displayed in her office lobby. But a national organization that monitors the separation of church and state notified her they had received a complaint. The Freedom From Religion Foundation has sent her two letters asking her to remove them.

No need to worry. Jesus wins.
Pray for those who persecute you.
Thank you for your interest.
Now please take your Yankee A$$ back North.
It’s supposed to be freedom from government in our religion, not freedom from religion in our government.
Oh well! Better start clucking like a gaggle of nervous hens and start hiding those signs! Better yet, ignore them.
Why can’t they just claim that these are religious historical artifacts and represent the history of the state?
Many states have religious history. Why should we change history to remove the reason that settlers even wanted to risk their lives to come here?
They are the result of the decorating committee’s work. The decorating committee mixes and matches as artistic tastes hit them from time to time.
The next redecorating is scheduled for 2014 based on finances.
I don’t understand atheists. I mean, I don’t get offended when I see a Thor comic book because I don’t believe in the Norse god of thunder. Atheists claim they don’t believe in God, but they fear Him and His word like a vampire fears a cross (a real vampire, not some sparkly metrosexual vampire).
The Freedom From Religion Foundation did not give her a timetable for response, but requested she advise them if/when she took action.
Who are they to "give her a timetable" for any kind of response??
Get Jay Sekolow on the case. www.aclj.org
You know, that’s well said, Bryan...I’m gonna use that. Thanks.
I’d respond that she doesn’t believe the complaint. Let the person come forward and give her all their ‘In God We Trust’ money if they are REALLY offended.

From the looks of it they are a basically a ACLU, but only gong after Christian religions symbols in public. They were founded in Madison, WI in 1978 by a preacher who renounced his faith in 1984.
Why should we have to appeal to the institution of the ‘state’ to justify the display of uplifting spiritual principals? Just because some activist Alinskyite wants to deny our metaphysical life and force this craven reality on others doesn’t mean we have to oblige.
My thoughts exactly. This country is going to hell faster than Hitler on rollerskates. Its getting high time for us to set things aright.
One of my oldest and favorite loves was from
Hazelhurst, or Lumber City as it was known then.
I used to do an art show down there, the Million pines
festival, only place I ever saw someone walking a
racoon on a leash. They had a contest for the
Turpentine Queen and also one for the younger set,
Little Miss Pine seedling.
going to hell faster than Hitler on rollerskates.
Aaaand Herr Hitler cuts off the Jam.
Score Berlin Bombers 5 SA men 0.
Next up the BundistMadel vs Lebensborn.
In this instance, I actually think this is probably not a good idea.
That is, this is the office of the tax commissioner. For a lot of people visiting, I doubt that about any decor is going to cheer them up. It’s like having inspirational messages in an abattoir. That they are religious-inspirational is less important.
Maybe going to your dentist for six fillings and a root canal, and his music system is playing the greatest hits of Zamfir and his Pan Pipes. It’s not helping.
Lumber city is about seven miles up the road. It is now like most south Georgia towns a victim of jobs being sent overseas. They have like the rest of us seen better days.
