A friend of mine used to work for SSA. Some of the stories he told me about people he had to work with on their cases, I would have wanted a gun.
“The public” is always an interesting mix.
A classic is where you provide the first load of stamp stock and money order blanks to a brand new postal facility ~ particularly one that supplies stock to a number of branches.
On stamp stock day a truck or two shows up along with several well armed Postal Inspectors ~ and you don't need to know what they have.
Then there are these fine gentlemen in blue police uniforms, and they seem to all be 7 ft or taller, weigh 300 lbs, have bullet proof vests on top of that AND they are carrying the world's largest shotguns!
They are show stoppers. Been decades since anyone tried robbing them.
My first time seeing this event had me looking around for cover, and there was no cover.
