Mitt Romney on Thursday said he never paid less than 13% of his income in taxes over the past decade, rebutting critics who charge that he has paid nothing.
“I did go back and look at my taxes, and, over the past 10 years, I never paid less than 13%,” Romney said, according to NBC News. He later added: “Every year, I paid at least 13%, and if you add in, in addition, the amount that goes to charity, the number gets well above 20%.”
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has accused Romney, a wealthy businessman, of paying no taxes in certain years, a charge Romney calls “totally false.”

If this gets going further somebody had better bring up and portray what John Kerry paid and the tax shelters that we know about as the numbers and percentages are ugly in comparison and NOT well publicized.

I am getting on in years (77), but if I remember correctly, the issue SHOULD be...did Romney pay his taxes according to the IRS codes and laws in effect each year.
If the answer is “NO”, then we really have an issue.

Bingo. Romney campaign should get on the offense and quit falling into these defensive traps. Obama campaign strategy is to attack and divert. It is quite obvious what is going on. Romney’s team is not very smart.
Obama flunked lunch at Columbia and graduated "Magma Choom Fraud" at Harvard!
I'd heard that his GPA, IQ, and age were the same numerically.
