Authorities are winding down their criminal investigation of the failed brokarage firm, MF Global, and despite the lack of oversight and the loss of more than $1 billion in customer funds, it now seems unlikely that anyone at the firm will face criminal charges.

Forgot about that. You’re right.
If Romney wins, we’ll get to see who’s right. The entire investment community wants Corzine in jail. You should have heard Rick Santelli from the CME this morning. They are angry and Romney going after Corzine would be a no-brainer politically, legally, and ethically.
And to think, Corzine is talking about starting a new hedge fund.
Which begs the question, does Mittens in a R & R Administration as you so appropriately labled it, reward his Mormon brotherhood by nominating the Church Lady Orrin Hatch with the cabinet post of AG or hold back in hopes of nominating brother Hatch for the Supreme Court.
If Hatch is the AG then one would have to look at his record in the Senate as to whether his would aggressively pursue criminal prosecution of anyone. In the Senate he has barked liked a French a poodle without a bite, and always kissed up to the big dogs in the Senate as he did to his best bud Teddy Kennedy.
Governor Corzine is more culpable than Bernie Madoff. At least, Madoff’s victims knew or should have known they were benefiting from a fraudulent scheme. That’s manifestly not the case with MF Global.
Orrin Hatch will be 79 in March. He's not going nto be nominated to anything.
Rick Santelli nor anyone else at the CME represents the investment community. MF Global is all about the GoldmanSachs former CEO screwing CME types whose accounts at MF Global were NOT INVESTMENT accounts but for the most part commodity accounts used to hedge agricultural commodities. Corzine screwed small businessman called farmers in order to satisfy his "investment" brothers at JP Morgan.
I love Rick Santelli because he can be credited in large part for starting the Tea Party but Rick would be the first to tell you that he does NOT speak for the investment community nor does any of the honest, decent, hard working folk at the CME who are really small businessmen.
Rick Santelli has to work hard to keep this story on his network which has purports to be a business network but has become no more than MSNBC lite which is but another way of saying another Obama propaganda channel.
If anyone speaks for the investment community on CNBC it is James J Cramer who is a brother to Corzine as they both worked at Goldman Sachs at the same time.
There was NEVER any healthty criticism of Corzine before the collapse, it was all love and if not for Santelli there would be not criticism of Corzine after the collapse.
For the CNBC crowd to criticize Corzine who is a Democrat elitist of the highest order would be to put the elite in a bad light and risk Barry's re-election.
Hatch is too ancient for either job.
As Romney said, As president, I need Orrin Hatch in the Senate to help me. Hatch won his primary two to one, and it looks like he can keep his seat in the Senate as long as he wants.
You are right, he will be too old for the administration or to be nominated to the Supreme Court, but just senile enough to be re-elected to the Senate and meet the standards of Senatorial senility set by the likes of Strom Thurmond and Bobby Byrd.
Now tell me again who exactly is in the pockets of these crooks? According to the media it's Romney and the Republicans.
Corzine just played his.
BCCI all over again...........
If Romney did that...I would be shocked.
I have a friend who knows a lot more about this stuff than I do, and he says there will be no prosecution of Corzine. He said Corzine knows where all the political bodies are buried, and nobody, Democrat or Republican, has the nerve to touch him.
You'd have to prove the ENTIRE INVESTMENT COMMUNITY wants Jon in jail....
Santelli I like...but he has no juice.
Ann Barnhardt is right
It’s not a matter of what these crooks did- It’s the matter that the government, with all its rules and regulations and agencies - IS LETTING IT SLIDE
Oh, quit your whining. You're a peasant, and Jon Corzine is not.
Pretty simple, really.
A government that won't prosecute a criminal is itself criminal.
And of course this weeks talking point is that Romney is going to let Wall St. write its own rules. The number of people who live in an alternate reality is astounding.
Had the same thought. The hyposcrisy of O & Joe to talk about what Romney would do, as compared to what they LET happen
