Good old Joe has been a media star since the plant closed in 2001. The Kansas City Star chose him of all people to do a story on the plant closing. Then he can afford in 2008 to go to this convention and again be highlighted. Reuters did a story on him in January, Obama did his ad in January, by June he is in the Obama sponsored telephone interview, and of course the super PAC ad in August.
