LOL! Yeah, we were told that too. Abortions weren't legal then, and I can still remember when one of my classmates ended up pregnant and had to leave school. She was one of the brainy ones, so we were all surprised at what had happened. Back then the general notion was, only bad girls get pregnant, and even if you did have sex with your boyfriend, we were so naive, that we thought it could never happen to us. I know she gave the baby up for adoption because when I graduated from highschool, I went to work for the county's Child Welfare Department. I came across her old record one time in the closed cases. She was a very sweet girl, and I always hoped that she found happiness in her life.
Yes, there were stiff penalties for girls back then for dealing with the boy's stiffies the wrong way. Our drop-dead gorgeous star athlete had to leave high school and in senior year and get married.
But in spite of the sad stories then, they pale in comparison to the sheer number and effects of widespread abortion, loose sex and fatherless children of single mothers today. The liberals' misplaced "compassion" against the laws of God never ends well.
