Cher explains Mormon ‘tenants’
twitchy.com ^ | August 15, 2012 | Twitchy Staff

After coming under fire for a bigoted tweet about Mitt Romney’s “magic underwear”, noted religious scholar Cher finally decided to find answers to her questions about those darn secretive Mormons. Apparently she now considers herself fully qualified to fill us in on Mormon “tenants.”

Do they pay the rent on time? Are they considerate neighbors? Do they clean up after their pets? C’mon, Cher. We’ve got to know!

The incoherent diva also shared her thoughts on Paul Ryan and his supposed devotion to Ayn Rand’s “tenants” (debunked here).

Paul Ryan likes Ayn Rand… I fail to see why this is a bad thing. Heck, I would consider it a redeeming quality.

Ayn Rand was an atheist.

Cher is living proof that American society is so beneficent that some people, such as Cher herself, can use raw sewage for brains, and still succeed.

Perhaps she rented a house to some Mormons?

Maybe some of the The Angry Disappointed Ones here in FR can add Cher tweets to their long, long, long, long lists of links.

Trust me, there are a whole pile of RINO’s who worry whether Cher likes them or not.

“Let’s not go to Chick-Fil-A. It might cost us the Cher vote”.

And Socrates was a pagan - it didn’t and doesn’t stop him from being one of the founders of Western thought and philosophy.

And Thomas Jefferson was a Deist (at best) - that doesn’t stop him from being a highly influential founding father whose wisdom is cited and will be cited by lovers of liberty until the end of human history.

If one is only to adopt useful and correct ideas from those who share the same religious tradition - one will live in a very shallow and dim world.

There are few people in the world that can make Nancy Bimbosi appear intelligent.

Cher is one of those.

Atheists may be wrong about the existence of God (at least in my view they are wrong), but that doesn’t mean they are wrong about everything.

Way to go Cher.

No, but her atheism pretty much means that a Republican nominee for national office can't hold her up as a guiding star for his own philosophy. It's a deal-breaker.

Who said Ryan holds her up as a “guiding star”? Certainly not Ryan.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/14/opinion/weiss-ryan-rand/index.html

Paul Ryan says that he read her books as a youth but was not influenced by her. In April, he gave an interview to National Review in which he repudiated Rand entirely. In the interview, he called reports of his adherence to Rand’s views an “urban legend” and said that he was more deeply influenced by his Roman Catholic faith and by Thomas Aquinas.
