What statistics, or real evidence do you have, to support your case? None. Just some hysterics.
Now, I'll repeat to you what I know first hand, because I'm on a college campus 9 months of the year and I speak across the country to college aged kids. This is what I see and this is what they tell me:
1) In 08, there was a huge white guilt/hip vote for Obama among this age group.
2) Those voters IMMEDIATELY abandoned the Obama platform (TARP, stimulus, even health care). All they cared about was "voting for the younger black guy." Been there, done that. They were off the bandwagon by the end of the summer 09. I could tell clearly by the reactions in classes.
There is NOTHING like the 08 enthusiasm among these students. NOTHING. The #s are back to about where they were when Bush won twice, with all those silly groups you mention.
Now, get your head out of the ground and get to work. This is not only winnable, but it's winnable in a landslide with the kinds of numbers I'm seeing.
Amen, brother, amen!
Second, real evidence is from Indecision 2000 here in FLA. Military absentee votes were discarded by the Leftist vote-counters both in Jacksonville and Pensacola. With the margin of votes during that election cycle, Bush v. Gore might never have happened.
Further disenfranchisement urrently cshows up with the military vote in Ohio, the dead vote in Illinois, and the dead again, plus the illegal and felon votes in Florida. All these have been mentioned from various sources from right here on FR.
Now, you said:
Now, I'll repeat to you what I know first hand
Now if I had said that, you'd dismiss it as "anecdotal evidence", wouldn't you?
“This is not only winnable, but it’s winnable in a landslide with the kinds of numbers I’m seeing.”
I can’t believe Obama is still the Dem candidate; there are not enough sexual deviants and government workers to re-elect him, and NOBODY ELSE has any reason to vote for him. While blacks, Hispanics, and women benefit from government-mandated affirmative action, that only comes into play when jobs are available; those groups (like everyone else) have fallen behind in the last four years.
Unfortunately, in this day & age of 24-hour cable news, nobody can come right out and say Obama doesn’t have a prayer of winning. I see the “official” list of swing states, and assume they are safely in Romney’s column; as a resident of NJ, I assure you NJ is in play - there are simply too many foreclosures, layoffs (including thousands of government workers), and shuttered businesses to ignore.
