Newt Tells Piers Morgan 'You Guys Almost Sound Like You're An Extension of the Obama Campaign'

Piers Morgan on Monday picked the wrong guy to toss Democrat talking points at.

After the CNN anchor spoke the typical liberal nonsense about Paul Ryan's budget only benefiting rich people, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich scolded, "I do wonder sometimes if you guys all get off in a little club and learn a brand new mantra and then all repeat it mindlessly...You guys almost sound like you're an extension of the Obama campaign" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Snip

NEWT GINGRICH: You know, I don't want to sound disrespectful, but I do wonder sometimes if you guys all get off in a little club and learn a brand new mantra and then all repeat it mindlessly. The fact is, these kinds of things were said about Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan's tax cut - which was developed by Jack Kemp who Paul Ryan worked for - Ronald Reagan’s tax cut raised more people to middle class status, took more people out of poverty, created more jobs.

Snip

I think this is a fundamentally different model, and I know everybody in the media wants to rush down and narrow it down to one point. So I’m going to rush down and narrow it down to one point: how long are we going to tolerate a president who makes the poorest Americans more unemployed, who pushes more poor Americans on to food stamps, and who eliminates hope for minorities? And that's the Barack Obama record after four years.

There has got to be a place for him in the Romney -Ryan administration. ................................There is a place for him now, as a fill in for Romney at the Presidential debates. Romney can feign laryngitis and ask Newt to respond.

I dont know what on earth Newt is talking about. Everyone KNOWS that the only biased reporting comes from Fox. I mean you can tell they are wrong - on every story they always have a different angle to all the other outlets! If that isnt proof they are a bunch of isolated off-the-wall extremists completely out of touch with the mood of Joe Public on the stree, well I dont know what is!

Its not just that they are "socialist Limey Pratts". They are incredibly unpleasant people as well. Russell Brand has the excuse of drugs fueling his insensitivity (he rang up Andrew Sachs, manuel in 'Fawlty Towers' and bragged to him how he had slept with his grandaughter. On air.) Piers Morgan however is a natural class act. Anyone who dared criticise him, or even administer a mild check, would have journalists from Piers' newspaper coming round, snooping with high powered cameras, digging through their rubbish, trespassing on their property etc etc. Not a man to be crossed lightly. A grade A1 bully, a tyrant to his staff, and a man who did real harm to his country (printing pictures of British Soldiers abusing muslims in Afghanistan. Pictures easily proven to be forgeries, but the damage was done. Piers doesn't care. It sold a few thousand more copies.). And he was up to his neck in that phone-hacking scandal we had a bit back.

The guy is a refugee from the worst kind of sensationalist, tabloid, yellow journalism. God alone knows why anyone in America would want to employ him. Your TV execs must be mad.

Good for Newt. I hope he continues to speak on these issues.

I suppose tv execs here think there must be a certain cachet to employing someone with an English accent. Brand is an insufferable little wanker and he certainly isn't funny. And Morgan is an equally insufferable poncey git who apparently hasn't learned on arriving here that most Americans find types like Michael Moore and Spike Lee to be absolute loons and racists and not worth asking an opinion of. I'm not against immigration(legal, that is) but like most of my fellow Americans we can't stand someone fleeing a socialist sewer and on arriving here, as I said knowing full well how much better financially they can do here, they suddenly start going on loud and long about how we should adopt the political system they ran away from. Cheers.

I suspect your comment that my country is a "socialist sewer" is partly based on the impression given you by Messrs (or messers) Brand and Morgan! Yet another reason to despise them.

If your execs are so in love with English accents, there are rafts of people here with much better skills, much higher reputations and much better political views that they could turn to. I've seen examples of that US chat show that Piers Morgan does. To be fair, he's not a bad interviewer, but he's nowhere near the best I've seen on UK TV. You could do a lot better.

Then let the likes of Morgan stay in your country. We’ve enough of his kind here. It isn’t types like Brand and Morgan who I base the ‘’socialist sewer’’ observation on but a nearly thirty year decade series of governments your people have put in office.

This “socialist sewer” does not think it meet and right to restrain the legitimate movements of its citizens. If he wants to go to the US, and he fills all the neccesary forms in, and you’re dim enough to want him, that’s your look out.

I assume you’re using ‘’your’’ in the third person? I can tell you most emphatically I don’t want the insufferable pillock here.
