DANVILLE, Va.— The Obama campaign said Tuesday it is confident Vice President Biden will be an effective foil against GOP vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan despite his latest gaffe.
Biden on Tuesday made headlines when he told a crowd here that the GOP ticket’s policies would put “y’all back in chains.” The remark was about Wall Street regulations, but the Romney campaign seized on the imagery of slavery to say Biden and Obama had hit a new low.
The unscripted comments highlighted Biden’s propensity for off-the-cuff statements —which at times have caused the White House embarrassment. But Biden aides say the occasional slip-ups are far outweighed by the positives that the vice president brings to the table.
“Vice President Biden has been the president’s partner and top surrogate on the campaign trail and no one is fighting harder to ensure the president is reelected in November,” a campaign official said. “He continues to travel across the country making the case for what’s truly at stake in this election and why President Obama is the right choice for middle class workers and their families.”

What Romney’s guys should do now is call on Obama to drop him for 2012 - he’s just too incompetent. By doing so, they will play into the Democrat arrogance and may even get Obama to actually keep him on the ticket (out of spite), which is definitely what we want.

With this comment, Biden sounded like he was trying to do a parody of a minstrel show. I’m almost convinced he’s intentionally sabotaging BO and the court jester persona is a ruse.
For their debate, I don’t know whether to lay in a 55 gallon drum of microwave popcorn, or to sell the 3 I already have, the idea being the market will become flooded with supply.

The debates are totally controlled by Democrats, from the moderator to the guy behind the sound board to the guy who carries in the boxes.
The format is rigid and planned. Most of the “audience” allowed to speak are either outright plants or have been in a “focus group” for six hours.
Biden will know all the questions and will have practiced his answers. He may even have an earbud. Ryan will be on his own, left out of the planning, and might have an earbud, but won’t know the questions in advance.
So the fact that Biden has a serious brain issue (was it a burst aneurysm?) won’t matter as much.
The media will report it as a draw or win for Biden anyway.
Biden’s stupid. He’s not fit for the office he holds - no less - horror upon horrors - the office of President.

I think it was more calculated then that. I think he chose him because noone would want Biden to talke the office of Prezbo in the real possibility Obama would be impeached.

I think Biden got chosen because he would not be able to impede The Total Transformation of America that 0bama and his pals have planned (and promised numerous times). Or understand what was happening.
