Quite a bit of chatter on the Internet about this photo.
Though it looks like it might be some kind of magic trick, the Associated Press photo happens to catch a light at just the right position during President Obama's speech Monday in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
"President Obama is a wizard," proclaimed New York magazine.
It adds:
This photo was not Photoshopped. It was snapped by the AP's Carolyn Kaster while Obama was speaking in Iowa's Bayliss Park yesterday. Probably the part in the speech where Obama told the crowd, "Can Paul Ryan do this? Didn't think so." He then detached the microphone from the podium, dropped it on the ground, and walked away.

I recall a picture of Barry Goldwater taken at the Cow Palace GOP convention. He was speaking at the podium and the photo was a shot that made it appear that Goldwater had a noose around his neck, by getting the just so angle on the ropes and apparatud that was behind him. This picture appeared in the newspaper at the time. Too cute by half. These people have been pulling stunts for a long time. See series: Century of Self, part I.
