Chris Christie, the sometimes abrasive but always entertaining governor of New Jersey, is set to be announced Tuesday as the keynote speaker for the Republicans' national convention later this month.
***SNIP***
The scheduling decision was first reported online by USA Today early Tuesday and confirmed by Republican officials directly involved in convention planning. The Republican officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because the formal announcement was not planned until later Tuesday.

I don't know but I will watch if they do something. Someone needs to remind these progressive republicans that they are not the center of anyone’s Universe.

Conservatives are few and far between and Gov. Christie is fiscally conservative. He can articulate the issues as well as anybody and he manages to shut the unions out in NJ which I thank him for.
For all the doubters about Christie, stop whining and complaining that he isn’t “conservative-enough”. He is governor of a deep blue state with a few of us conservatives to keep it sane. I don’t agree with everything he says or positions he takes but I do agree far more than I disagree. Other than Ronald Reagan, we have few “saints” on the conservative side who can do no wrong. Save the complaints about Christie and heap those on 0bama. There is plenty to complain about there. Far better use of energy.

Krispie Kreme Christie alert!
The keynote should have gone to Rand Paul or Jim DeMint, also known as real Republicans.

They’ve helped the murderous muzzie filth establish a major beachhead inside the gates, just as the treasonous lib-dems have.

DeMint or Coburn, perhaps. I don’t know much about Rand; need to do some research, I admit.

Don’t worry. Rand’s not the loon his dad Whatshisname (He’s become an Orwellian “unperson” finally.) is. He believes in national defense.

RuPaul & LibTards Co truly worry me; how Texas has continually re-elected that perennial loonytoon, is far beyond me.

“Hell be a contender in 16,”
Why on 16? You planning on R & R losing to Obama? We may not need anyone in 16 if that magic moron gets re-elected. Here’s how it goes down, Romney wins in 12-16. Ryan wins in 20-24...got it?

Haven't you heard? FReepers gave up on this election because the GOP ticket is not conservative enough.
Guess they'd rather have Obama stay in power to prove a point to the GOPe and have a clear conscience than to force the pResident out while holding their nose casting their vote .
I fail to see the logic of sitting out. If you do happen to figure out their logic, please share it. I'm baffled and PISSED.

Robert Spencer: Christie capitulates to Islamic supremacists
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie held an Iftar dinner at the Governors Mansion in late July. He took the opportunity to declare himself a foursquare tool of jihadists and Islamic supremacists, and even adopted their language in deriding those who have pointed out how he has allowed himself to be compromised by them. http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/08/robert-spencer-christie-capitulates-to-islamic-supremacists.html

Sounds like a winner to me. HE’s the one planning to run in ‘16 - “needs a job” - read the article. He said it.
