Paul Ryan spoke at the Iowa State Fair today, and his speech was interrupted by two women who first heckled and then stormed the stage. My first thought was, Where is the Secret Service? Apparently Ryan’s Secret Service protection hasn’t begun yet; the scene could easily have turned scary. Here is the video:

No word yet on who the women are, or what connection they have to the Democratic Party or the Obama campaign. One wonders whether the Democrats will turn to heckling and stage-storming as a routine matter. It might not be a bad strategy: by turning out a handful of hecklers, the Democrats can give friendly reporters an excuse to write about something other than the content of Romney’s or Ryan’s speeches, and to convey the impression that the Republicans are meeting with a general hostility. Such a tactic would be of a piece with everything else Barack Obama is doing, as he seems to be trying to bully his way to a second term.
Iowahawk, meanwhile, summed up the episode in a tweet:

I hitch-hiked a lot and I recall riding with a guy who was hauling wine in a u-haul, because they couldn't run the risk of driving a genuine commercial vehicle on the highway at the time.

It’s only going to get uglier. Wait till the poll numbers start reflecting Romney’s rise in popularity thanks to Paul Ryan. There’s going to be blood running in the streets. If Fox news doesn’t start carrying the details of this crap, we should all drop our subscriptions.

Iowa CCI goons. I know this group and detest them. I think I would have been carted off today by law enforcement had I been there and been physically close to them. Restraining myself would have been almost impossible.
They are Marxist thugs.
I was very impressed with the way Mr. Ryan kept his cool. Those women were kept from having the “moment of fame”, and Mr. Ryan got his message across while ignoring them.

It reminds me of the union thugs who started showing up at town hall meetings prior to the 2010 election. They came to provoke a confrontation with Tea Party folks. I think some purple shirted thugs even beat up on a conservative black guy at one of the meetings.

It is going to get even uglier. I suggest a kevlar vest for Ryan (to start with) and a couple of huge bodyguards in addition to SS.

Those same guardsmen, mostly kids, having spent two sleepless days being shot at by Teamster thugs then were sent to a college campus where anti-war radicals had burned down the ROTC building and were rumored to be planning to torch the entire town. This is what we get from 'the Left' - communist thuggery - Union goons - paid hacks; because, in their Leninist/Marxist and/or just zombie brains, free speech is theirs; not 'yours'; and free arena of ideas; is not free; save for their expressing their ideas; without hindrance. Of course; free and fair 'competition' is anathema to these so mind-numb. Better that we just 'owe' them.

We know that this has been an MO planned; should Obama feel need to go zombie negative. And no doubt; more to come. Obama needs/wants a fight; and will get exactly, as he orders up.
