Do you not find it personally unsettling that you are the only one making references to priestly scandal on a thread that is otherwise unanimously lauding this priest's bravery?
I dare say you must possess the same intestinal fortitude as Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
Why, no, because that reference was a response to another post.
What I find unsettling -- no, pitiful is the word -- is how people, when reminded of a truth that they'd rather not face, can muster no response other than a personal attack.
I find it unsettling that some people are completely unable to reconcile themselves to truth of the fallibility of the men in the Church. Experience has taught me that these same people cannot face their own shortcomings, and cannot be reasoned with, and I find it disappointing that there are so many of them in the Church; esp when the cardinal virtue is humility -- it is very disappointing to find it so thoroughly absent.
Thank you.
