Almost needed the mute button for that one lady. She was particularly shrill.
Liberal tolerance in action once again. Liberals are tolerant...if you agree with them. if not, forget it.
If the rosary is just a bunch of superstition and Christianity is just myths based a 2,000 year old book, why freak out when this man prays? If there is no God, then his prayers are all in vain. Deep down, I think they know there is a God and know he is right, and that upsets them.
The protesters had no doubt which side he is on which is why they began chanting “hateful bigot”.
I read your first post and was disgusted.
I read your further posts and became increasingly angry.
And then I realized that the first post was as intolerant as the actions and words of those protesters and was meant to do the same thing, i.e. silence the truth.
And so, I have decided to do what this worthy priest was doing and pray for you.
Please ignore my first post to you. I did it before reading the entire thread and seeing you admit your error.
Careful; you'll confuse him (even more).
You are definitely right, TheOldLady, and thank you for posting this, SurroundedbyBlue.
I agree with many posters on this thread that demons are at work in what happened to this priest.
I am not a Roman Catholic — I am confessionally required to believe some pretty strong things about the Mass — but when attending Roman Catholic funerals and prayer services, I recite as much of the Rosary as I can do in good conscience. There certainly is enough Scripture in the Rosary and the Creed and the Lord's Prayer for even the most committed Protestant to believe the demons respond in anger when confronted by the Word of God.
You can know a lot about someone by seeing who their enemies are. For a Catholic priest to be called a “hateful bigot” for praying the Rosary on a public street in defense of a restaurant chain owned by evangelical Christians is not something that would have happened sixty or seventy years ago. As evangelical Protestants and traditional Roman Catholics, we need to stand together as much as we can in cases like this.
