After a long and sharply contested GOP primary battle, many Republicans, conservatives and tea-party types have been left questioning whether they can, in good conscience, vote for Mitt Romney in November.
Romneys statements as a former advocate of legalized abortion, his hotly contested record on same-sex marriage and his health-care reforms while governor of Massachusetts sometimes maligned as Romneycare have left conservatives uncertain if the presumptive Republican nominee is really one of their own.
Tea-party darling and former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, however, is basically dismissing the concerns, telling Fox News Channels Shannon Bream that Romney has the Republican Partys conservative base in the bag.
On Americas News Headquarters over the weekend, host Bream asked Palin if Romneys choice of Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., as running mate would help persuade those not completely sold on the name at the top of the GOP ticket...

There is ALWAYS a choice — including at the convention.
Mr. RomneyCARE is not yet the candidate.
Good question.
Either way, he's neatly backed himself into a political corner on the issue.
No way he'd be able to execute another flip-flop and remain politically unscathed.
Don't forget the American voters. If it is unrecoverable they have a lot to do with it.Almost 67 million of them voted for Obama in 2008
They are still out there, voting, having babies and teaching them all they know.
Fortunately I live in MA so I will NOT be voting for Romney as it will make no difference. I guess if I were in a swing state I would hold my nose.
“Don’t forget the American voters. If it is unrecoverable they have a lot to do with it.”
A big chunk of the vote base now consists of the perpetually stupid, Marxists, and a rapidly growing parasite class.
>> I think Ayn Rand had a good quote related to this, which goes something like: You can ignore reality, but you cant ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.
You’re right — and thanks for the new tagline! :-)
I expect something big to go down too. No way will Obama go down graciously, if he knows he is going to lose he will sit back and watch this country burn to the ground. He doesn’t care, his supporters don’t care. For them this is about the total destruction of America and if they feel they are going to get their asses handed to them they will stop at nothing to take America down with them. Mark Levin understands this, that is why he is supporting the Romney/Ryan ticket, yet people bash Sarah Palin for supporting the same ticket. This is NOT about supporting Romney, this is about saving America. Did I want Romney to be the nominee, no! Really can’t stand the guy, but what else are we supposed to do, sit back and watch the Commies take over, this is our last chance to save America, I wont and refuse to live in Tyranny
***Governor Palin has more common sense, and more economic sense than many people who are against supporting the only nominee we ended up with.***
If I could, I can tell a parable told to me that mimics our political situation.
Forty years ago, A co-worker was working a construction job deep in the Algerian desert. One day their water system broke and they had nothing to drink except beer for a week while repairs were being made.
One man with a Christian upbringing refused to drink the beer.
After three days in the hot Sahara desert heat, he was swilling down beer with everyone else.
Question: Who would you rather have a President for the next four years?
A successful business man who happens to be a memeber of a cultic church and hopes to be a god?
Or
A man who spent the last twenty or so years in a “Christian” church listening to GOD DAMN AMERICA sermons and thinks he is GOD.
There is lots against Romney I don’t like, especially his liberalism. If he is elected we must also make sure to have a Congress that can set on him like a monkey on his back.
Maybe the GOP will broker a new candidate we all can accept! Wonder what her name would be?
Thanks.

May God give us strength.

“’Its all about the independents, Shannon,’ Palin said. ‘We dont have to just keep on preaching to the choir, there, of the hardcore base of fiscal conservatives within the Republican Party we got em; Romneys got em. Weve got to reach the independents.’”
Dear Sarah....”the hardcore base of fiscal conservatives within the Republican Party - we got ‘en; Romeny’s got ‘em.”????????
Is she actually saying the BASE of the Republican Party is just “Fiscal Conservatives?” What about Social/Moral conservatives, and National Defense conservatives. The BASE consists of Three Legs NOT ONE. Unless I’m reading this wrong, Sarah Palin just urinated on Ronald Reagan, and what he stood for. I am really shocked she didn’t mention the other legs of conservatism. Has Sarah now gone “establishment” on us? This is truly disturbing. IF I am reading it correctly.
Another election where Social/Moral issues won’t matter or National Defense for that matter. It will all be about the almighty wallet and nothing more. Has Sarah Palin become Bill Clinton....”It’s the economy stupid?”
Always has been an establishment figure; she never was a conservative, never was really pro-life, never was for free markets, never really was a patriot, never tried to cut spending as governor, never wanted small business to succeed. /FR50
I think in isolation it could be conceivable that Romney is sincere in his switch from supporting abortion to being pro-life. But, there’s just so many topics that Romney seemingly switched positions on, from amnesty to the homo nonsense to cap-and-trade to socialized medicine, and these changed positions all seemed to occur around the exact time he decided to run for president, when he was near 60-years old. I don’t think one has to be an incredible cynic to cast a doubtful eye.
We're already in the midst of a social revolution.
Seems like the country is split down the middle regarding the necessity of Judeo-Christian morality as its legal and philosophical foundation.
I did not vote for Juan McLame, I voted for Sara Cuda.
I would have held my nose and voted for romney. I”ll gladly vote for and support Paul Ryan.
“”Im still a free man...””
That the problem, FRiend. If 0 gets back in, none of us will be free long : |
May God guide our course.

Sigh - read twice, post once.
