The names of others involved in the shootings were not released by police. Several sources confirmed for The Eagle that the suspect’s name is Thomas Caffall and that he told a witness before he died he was sorry for shooting the officer.

this was NOT a campus rampage shootin. it was a neighborhood scene near the school, would be a normal night in chicago like this probably.

The incident appears to have started about 12:15 p.m. at a house in the historical district of the city close to George Bush Drive, the first of four scenes from which investigators would eventually collect evidence.

do not know of any historical district unless (before 1955) qualifies..... It is an neighborhood south of the campus, behind what is known as 'Southgate".
