The calibers required is addressed in the paperwork further down. Some of this goes to FLETC, but the supplier is also required to ship to other locations. What it looks like is a open-ended ‘shell’ type contract that allows agencies to order from it rather than go through a separate procedure to let a departmental contract. As long as the ordering agencies don’t exceed the number for their caliber that the contract enumerates they are good to go. It also looks like that the total number of rounds/caliber is going to be broke down monthly/year of the contract. So the supplier won’t be required to deliver if an agency exceeds the quantity authorized for a particular month.
Looks like a mix of training ammo along with self defense rounds. I noticed all the 38 spl specified is for training rounds which can be fired out of a 357 mag (cheaply) while all of the actual 357 mag rounds are JHP.
Looks like an ammo order for training along with defense usage across a very wide caliber range.
