This makes me think of Moses the raven in the book “Animal Farm” who tried to get the animals to believe in Sugarcandy Mountain. Never liked John Lennon much anyway.

I cringed when I saw scores of CHILDREN singing Lennon’s Marxist anthem in the CLOSING CEREMONIES of the London 2012 Olympics, complete with his image in a giant screen and A likeness of Lennon being formed via a humongous puzzle...
These kids are being taught Marxist values at such a tender age... what will the future of Britain be if they hold to such sentiments when they grow up?
No possessions, no religion ??

Imagine never having to hear the insipid vapid naive Imagine again. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

Vladimir Ilyich Lenin promised the same thing in 1917.
A worldwide revolution of the proletariat.
The entire globe would be socialist with no countries, no religion, no possessions, no greed and no hunger. The world would live as one.

It helps to imagine all this mental mucus when one is on drugs.

Yes, he did. And it is no coincidence that he got off weed at about the same time too.
There's a reason that one of the big initiatives of George Soros is to push for drug legalization.

I thought the producers’ reverent treatment of Lennon’s “Imagine” was an interesting contrast to the roller skating, girts-flashing nuns in Eric Idle’s comedy routine.

I know I’ll catch some slack for this but, me neither.
I never could buy into the Lennon genius thing.

I think Yoko wrote it.
Just thank goodness she didn’t sing it.

The more I listen to the Beatles over the years, I am convinced that Lennon simply rode on Paul’s coattails.
