The video at the link is a must see. Romney, for all his faults, is light years better than the muslim-loving marxist.

Hopefully Romney realizes this is not politics as usual. This line gives me hope he understands who he is up against. All of us are up against the depravity of the left, the idea that Mitt is made of the same stuff as espoused here on FR is the dumbest one I've seen in the decade I've been on FR.

Obama is a vapid failure. His campaign will always be in the gutter. It is reflective of the Chicago values so articulated beautifully by Rahm Emmanuel. The big question to be settled by this election is whether Chicago values are now the prevailing standard in America.

Think of Mitt as the ‘moderate’ transition to a Ryan presidency.

Think of Mitt as the moderate transition to a Ryan presidency. Or as someone said on another thread, we had Reagan/Bush in 1980. In the 2012 Romney/Ryan ticket, we have Bush/Reagan. The question is, would 1980 have been such a landslide or a victory at all had Reagan been the VP candidate and George Bush at the top?

It’s a good choice. Take a recognized and loyal conservative as a VP. Hopefully, Ryan will become Romney’s Dick Cheney.

"Mr. President, Take Your Campaign Out of the Gutter" ....but isn't that the normal habitat of 'rats? If he wasn't in the gutter, he'd be out of his element.

Exactly. I still have the feeling that God is watching out for this country for the sake of the righteous and allowed Mitt to get the nomination simply because we were incapable of electing anything better.
Now, with Paul Ryan, I have real hope that the rapid decline of this nation will at least be slowed long enough to build a bridge to the Ryan administration.
He is an amazing young man and if he manages to pull Romney over the finish line, Romney will know that he owes him big time. Unlike Sarah Palin, he has been in the political arena for far too long for the national media to definedistort him.
And Romney's McCain retread advisers are going to be unable to muzzle him. In fact, I wouldn't be too surprised to see one or more of this motley crew shown the door if they try.

The question is, would 1980 have been such a landslide or a victory at all had Reagan been the VP candidate and George Bush at the top? Interesting thought. I am hopefull that Ryan will push Romney (or at least keep him) toward the conservative side of right per his campaign promises.

Bath house Barry lives in the gutter.

...Mr. President, take your campaign out of the gutter... If that doesn't resonate with the American people and wake them up, we just gotta' be truly done for. (But I think they' will wake up!)

The question is, would 1980 have been such a landslide or a victory at all had Reagan been the VP candidate and George Bush at the top?It is a reasonable question and the chance of a 1980-like "landslide" victory seems lessened with Romney at the top.
However, IMHO, the 'anti-incumbent/we need a change' theme will rule the day this time again, regardless of who's on the top of the GOP ticket. If so, 2012 will repeat the 'throw the bum out' results of 1980, and 2008 (just in reverse).
