In a visit to Afghanistan last week, President Barack Obama confirmed that the US was pursuing peace talks with the Taliban.That's like dealing with the aliens in Independence Day. They didn't want peace, they wanted us to die.

Just image if this had happened under Bush. It would be the lead story. It would be incontrovertible evidence of failed diplomatic and foreign policy.
