Sola Veritas, I seriously doubt that you know any real Marines, or that you understand the deep, blood-soaked meaning of Semper Fidelis. But as to your insulting accusation that I am a "quitter" for supporting Romney now that he has won the GOP nomination... I understand the difference between a skirmish and a war, and between an ally and a real enemy.
Not one American voter was forced by the "establishment" or anyone else to vote for Mitt Romney in the primaries. Free people made their own choices, and Romney earned the most votes. Every GOP candidate who ran against Romney has now endorsed his candidacy against Barack Obama - even Sarah Palin, who chose not to run this year. Are they also "quitters" for supporting the only man who can now unseat Obama? I remember back in the 1970s when a handful of former Japanese soldiers in tattered uniforms wandered out of remote hiding places - thirty years after their leaders ended WWII and moved on with their lives. I guess you must feel like Ron Paul and Sarah Palin and Herman Cain have abandoned you, too.
We who now support Mitt Romney against Barack Obama are not the quitters, Sola Veritas. We are still fully engaged and fighting to defeat the real enemy. If you will not oppose Obama by voting for his opponent in November, what is your actual plan for victory? If you have abandoned the electoral process, what is your strategy?
Our nation is in a desperate fight for its survival, and the onrushing enemy is inside our wire. While most of us are shooting at the enemy, you are shooting harmlessly into the trees because you don't like the leader that a majority of us has chosen. If there are enough people like you - who refuse to fight when the enemy is at our front - we will all be destroyed. If you sit out this election, or waste your vote on a third candidate in a two-man race, you will be the quitter.
“Sola Veritas, I seriously doubt that you know any real Marines”
I interact continually with U.S. Army personnel (and Reserve and Guard) on a professional basis. I also, to a lesser extent, deal with Marines, Navy, and Air Force personnel. I have spent a great deal of time conserving with current active duty Marines because I want to understand their espirt. So, yes I do, as much as a non-Marine can, understand current Marine Corps personnel.
So, you opening statement is flawed and the rest of what you write is not worth reviewing.
“Not one American voter was forced by the “establishment” or anyone else to vote for Mitt Romney in the primaries.”
I beg to differ. The Republican primaries were rife with Romney’s political manipulation. You may find that acceptable, but I certainly don’t.
