Sarah Palin says that Paul Ryan is sure to be vetted and scrutinized, but that she among others has his back and will call out the media for their lies and distortions. She goes on to say that when she was thrust in that spotlight that she didnt have a lot of support from people in the McCain campaign to defender her and explain what her record was all about because they were protecting their own future interests. But she says that we wont let that happen to Paul Ryan:

” I voted for Perot 20 years ago to shake up the repubs and have regretted what has happened ever since. “
You nailed Lesson number ONE.
Lesson number TWO has been learned in this primary the hard way. The fix was in for the Establishment candidate by the silence of the GOPE for the balcanized majority, split between 5, 6 conservative candidates whom they deigned to ignore entirely. What suckers we were.
If in the future we fail like that again, we will never win, but instead must have a pre-determined drop dead, cut off date where we refuse to be balcanized and agree together, like it or not, with one conservative candidate, all together, or not at all, because not-at-all is guaranteed if we fail in this task, as we have sorely learned.
Yea, hasnt Sarah heard? People around here would rather have another 4 years of Obama destruction than let a Mormon in the White House.
Thankfully, the majority of conservatives, (including conservative Christians) understand how critical it is for this nation, Israel, and the rest of the free world to get Obama out of the White House.
These people that would sit back and let the GREATER of the two evils triumph, remind me of this famous and very wise quote:
“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” (Edmund Burke)
Great post Jim!
You are falling down avery deep dark hole, there is still time for you to reconsider.
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Proverbs 16:18
Sanctimony that creates the exact things that one decries makes one culpable of the same.
Jim, I do not doubt your desire to see “The Evil One” defeated, nor do I blame you for the deep seated dislike you carry for Mittens. But the damage that 4 more years of the Evil One would perpetrate is undeniable, especially with his penchant for bypassing Congress with executive orders and if he gets to nominate even one more Supreme Court justice, anything we stand for and hold dear will be gone.
Sounds like your church going senior doesn’t give a rip about Obama’s war on Christianity as long as checks keep coming.
If the positions were reversed, the gop types will have no problem whatsoever with four more years of Barry. They choose socialism over real conservatism when given a choice. Patriotism will be out the window.
But as it is, I don't need an emetic that badly.
Same here. It will be sad to see conservatives who have stood their ground, like Governor Scott Walker, to have to cheer lead for the nominee.
Not to disagree with you entirely, or Jim, but..... imho, we are NOT “the party”, as you say, when we are all losers, all the time, every time. It is WE the conservative Republicans who have been every bit as hard as Sarah Palin; WE who have been just as used and abused as Sarah Palin ever was! We have been duped by our own lack of abilities to play hard ball, the same as Sarah Palin was duped by Katie Couric! We can’t hit back and make a punch land because we are so rhetorically wrapped in the flag we have no actual infantry strength to make a landing in the first place.
Everyone whines with sentiment for Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin, who can’t get covered by anyone but right wing blogs, just like WE can’t get an audience even with Republican Establishment insiders!
Palin is awesome at sentiment, and lovely, and a dynamo on the stump. All of which thoroughly irritated the Marxists and certainly fed to our own great satisfaction. But, among ourselves so are we pretty great and patriotic at sounding off, understanding full well frome whence we came, able to raise the name of our fore fathers over issue after issue, rather than EXPERTLY discussing the danged issue!
It is PAST TIME to campaign on sentiment of a once great nation and have nothing else but sentiment in our arsenal. This alone, I believe, is what brought Sarah no DC future.
We need political marksman now, who don’t lose, with not only brains, but willing to show up and prove their cunning and expertise, and experience, authority in their field, and CONFIDENCE in getting on the general election field for keeps. And a willingness to RUN.
I appreciate Palin much more for what she is and for the decision she has made to be an awesome cheerleader for the troops, a mascot for patriotism if you will. A potential strategic LEADER of national and international influence on global fiscal collapse and a Leik Walenske,(however you spell his name)? Good grief, NO!
I certainly doubt Ryan and Romney, but theirs is a field at least where they are thought to be rather expert and everyone knows it. Ryan will not easily be driven off by the likes of Katie Couric, nor by any hint of unpreparedness for the ticket.
We should drop the past sentimental stars of the moment and get a grip on the future in a hurry with some real metal in our arsenal.
I agree in principle, but it is impractical when obama uses executive orders to skirt congress and then we have the holder justice department.
As for praying for a miracle, we all should, but it may not take the form we thought it would.
Example: There is a flood and you and your family who prayed for a miracle are rescued from certain death by an atheist, satanist, agnostic, muslim, jew, catholic, baptist, maybe even an abortionist etc with a boat.
You are still rescued and maybe the miracle is not only are you still alive, maybe God will change their heart and mind if needed.
I despise romney, but he and Ryan may be Americas lifeboat.
Well, I always had her back. But the Republican Party establishment/leadership sure didn’t. When things got just the least bit hot, they sided with their liberal buds in the media, and piled on with the wolfpack. Call me naive, but witnessing that happen repeatedly these past few years absolutely destroyed my lifelong faith, allegiance and trust in the GOP. Absolutely DESTROYED it.
I always wonder, if God could use a Babylonian king to bless the Jews-—and he heeded the word of God better than the Jews’ own kings!-—why can’t He use a Mormon?
And, if you have such a problem with RESISTANCE, you may be a fine candidate for one of Pavlov’s dogs in his fine and accurate experiment.
I respect your conscience, but your analysis of rebellion is pedestrian. Tradition has it that our founders were quite willing to raise hell and get their back up to tyrants and ne’er do well’s, even against their neighbors who were spies. Once, resistance and rebellion was considered a virtue. Once, it was even a requirement for survival. Now, it is quite out of vogue, not mainstream, and it’s hard. Now, all that is dead, having become odd.
Submission is, “in”, and it’s easy. Enjoy.
I will take “odd” over
Sorry, I meant to say; “ I’ll take “odd”, over submission to Establishment calculation and DC socialism.
nothing but love for Govenor Palin; a true conservative American...
Voting is a personal decision and everyone is entitled to vote as they choose. From a logical standpoint, however, I am confused that someone would pray for Oboma to loose (in other words asking God to intervene against him) but would not themselves do what they could to reach that desired outcome. Please do not take my comments personally, but I am really troubled by the prospect of asking God to do something that my conscience will not allow me to participate in.
Just as an aside, under our system, in the general election we do not vote for an individual to be president, we vote for a slate of electors who then vote for a person to be president. Possibly that is a sufficient degree of separation for those who need it.
Thank G*d for Palin. A voice of reason in an increasingly mad world.
Nice
Well, I’m just not going to vote for an abortionist/homosexualist/statist. I stated that fact when Romney and Rudy first declared their intentions to run for the presidency many years ago and I have no intention of ever changing.
Amen brother!
