Where is the evidence that Romney has recognized his errors and regrets them?

Of course.

And in our day to day life in the Real World (not a perfect, imaginary world controlled completely by our own personal preferences), all the choices we make (trivial decisions and major ones) entail weighing the pros and cons and choosing the lesser of two evils.

It's not logical to expect political choices to be exempt from that reality.
