Excellent analysis, bray!

I know a lot of people around here are down on Romney, and for some valid reasons. As a candidate, he was about my last pick. But as Donald Rumsfeld once famously said, "You go to war with the army you've got, not the army you wish you had!"

Romney /Ryan - whether we like it or not - is the army we've got and wishing for something more personally acceptable to many if not most here won't make it otherwise.

Romney made a terrific choice with Ryan. We can only hope if he is elected his other choices will be as wise. We know 0bama's choices won't be. It will be DeathCare for America as we are driven to circle the drain for good. With Romney, we at least will have a fighting (and peaceful?) chance to survive and may live to fight another day in our long struggle to save our country and Constitution. Even then, it will a tough, long fight and we may yet lose to the determined forces of tyranny.

The choice is really easy and stark. If wishes were horses then beggars would ride - and most of us would be riding a different horse than Romney, by choice. But the time for wishes and choices and successful beggers is over. It is time to join the fray on the side of the only available path forward that exists today...

Romney/Ryan

I don't worry about Romney, like many here seem to. He's made mostly good decisions, Ryan being the latest. He wants it badly. He wants to fix the mess very badly.

Judging Mitt from his time in Mass amongst the slime liberals may not be a very good gauge. Haven't I heard him support life quite strongly ? Yes. Energy and Obamacare pronouncements are still strong. Ryan supports all of the above.

We've seen Romney fight hard and dirty, which he'll need to do soon. Ryan's pick tells me this campaign will be about ideology as much as economics. Ryan's pick tells me they'll face the entitlement issue square on, finally. Romney is a fixer. I don't see him satisfied with sitting in the WH and not accomplishing anything.

Alright! A big General St. Clair endorsement.

Bump. You stated that very well. Thanks.

To the FReepers that “will not, under any circumstances, vote for Romney,” who will you vote for? Obviously, we need to get rid of nobama. Will your vote do that? If you’re planning to not vote in the presidential election, how will that help get rid of nobama? Will a write in vote or a vote for a third party candidate help us get rid of nobama?

Honestly, I’m not in love with Romney. But, even with all his faults, he’s light years better than nobama. Now that he’s picked Ryan I feel a little better. I’m hoping Ryan will educate and lead Romney some.

It comes down to this: On Nov 6, will you vote help us get rid of nobama? Pure and simple, no BS. That’s the question you must answer

That needs to be repeated often and loud. Too many people are forgetting this fact. God forbid they were leading us in battle.
