Every time some DNC/DBM talking head says “Ryan tried to cut/gut Medicare”, we need to counter with the truth, which is:
Ryan was the only one trying to save Medicare.
Once again, say to people, “I really like Paul Ryan because he was the only one in Washington trying to SAVE medicare.”
“They didn’t accept his plan but instead kicked the can down the road, when rescuing it will only be that much harder and that much more severe!”
Ask people (especially middle-aged to younger) if they really think Social Security and Medicare will be there for their old age?
Most will say “NO!”
Ask why not? And then ask them wouldn’t it make sense to try to fix it NOW, rather than just let it EXPLODE later?
Do the deomcrats even have a PLAN to fix it? No.
McCain is great onf TV. You almost think he’s a conservative! Then he goes back to dc...and the old rino comes out, very time.

I’m sure your niece believes she is getting a balanced news cast because it’s NPR, as in National meaning the government so they have to tell the truth. People I know who listen to NPR on a regular basis still think it’s fair and balanced.
Frankly, as far as I’m concerned NPR and PBS are both expendable once Republicans get better control of the purse strings and spending programs.
Agreed, the Rats are not talking about their solutions for jobs and the economy.
Will Ryan expose the Rats for not having a plan, nor developing a plan, for the next four years??
I hope the public begins to understand our predicament. We just cannot afford to continue on the path we are on. Ryan does a good job of informing the public on our situation. The Dems will continue with their scare tactics, but ultimately even they cannot hide the truth. And the longer we wait to address these issues, the more draconian the solutions. As Mark Steyn said, this election is the last exit ramp before going into a death spiral. Time is running out.

There is no calculus, under the law of the land, that such things as government-operated TV and radio “news” outlets like PBS and NPR are justified. None.

I think the biggest danger for us is still the media.
They will do ANYTHING to see Obama is elected.
They will, at the minimum, do the following:
1. Harp on Ryan’s proposal for medicare, spinning that he tried to kill it.
A. This means we HAVE to counter that at every turn.
B. Disagree with that! NEVER accept the premise. Tell the media, when they lead with a question with that, “Whoa, were did you get THAT lie? I absolutely disagree! Paul Ryan was and is the ONLY one trying to SAVE medicare.
C. Let them get to the point where they’ll refuse to even interview a Republican, becuase the Republican refuses to accept their lie, and every single time challenges it and tells the truth about Ryan.
2. Never mention the democrats failure to pass a budget.
A. Republicans have got to say it. “The democrat controlled Senate has FAILED to pass a budget for more than THREE years!!!!”
B. This does the following:
i. Reminds people that the Republicans don’t control Congress, but only the House of Respresentatives.
ii. Reminds people that the democrats in the Senate is why they don’t like Washington, DC.
iii. Helps us get democrat senators fired and Republican senators hired.
3. The driveby’s will keep repeating the Obama mantra that Romney is a rich guy.
A. Republicans need to talk about how a business man is the perfect choice to get American BUSINESSES runing again.
B. The Republicans need to talk about businesses hiring people.
C. Every Republican should talk about how raising taxes right now, on ANYBODY, especially those who run businesses, wuold kill the economy, and JOBS!
I actually believe that a lot of people now on welfare, SS disability and/or unemployment, would rather have a job. Now some will vote for extending their entitlements, but I still think they’d vote for someone who they really felt could get the economy going again, and therefore a chance at a decent job rather than a handout. So even with it getting close to 50% of people getting rather than giving, if they have a HOPE for a job, they’ll CHANGE their vote to he who gives them that!

Say I have a partnership in a businessbis in trouble. I have entire office redone in exotic woods because, well the money needed to save the company is so huge that this expense won’t go near solving.
How well would that go over?
I really hope us dolts get some REAL representation and fiscal sanity in that congress.
I must remind we need that senate turned over cause Romney and Ryan, assuming they do anything, can’t do it all.
There is another benefit to the pick of Ryan for VP that I just realized.
I don’t think Obama wanted to start in earnest on the Mediscare, throw Granny off the cliff campaign until the last few weeks of the campaign.
There’s only so much fear mongering you can do until people just turn it off and don’t take it seriously any longer. You just can’t keep people roiled in fear for three months.
If you’re an incumbent, this is the time to do warm and fuzzy ads, not scare people to death.
Ryan has caused them to embark on the scare tactics way ahead of schedule. They’re going to blow through a bunch more money before people are even paying attention.
Consensus is that negative ads work, but I contend that an entire campaign based on attack ads will turn people off. Also, if there are killer ads, they have to come at the right time - like a week or two before an election.

Thanks very much, Son! Dr. Vecchio is terrific. Just now watched the final (healthcare reform”) video. She elaborates on many of the ideas that Rush Limbaugh has been advocating on his program for years. Dr. Vecchio adds the physician’s perspective, and demonstrates, yet again, the value of “making the complex understandable” and not hidden beneath 2,500 pages of gobbledygook.
