By making it a disease, it is out of the hands of the legislature and in the hands of bureaucrats who can edit the definitions as required. And they are not banning guns - simply limiting or denying care if you own one. Exercising your right results in a denial of care, but not active round-ups and jail time. It’s a softer kind of fascism.

“...not active roundups...” at this time.

It’s still a step well beyond the bounds of the Constitution. Sadly, I’m getting closer and closer to the belief that we will require another revolution to right this ship.

By classifying it as a disease, you will be taken in for “treatment” to cure your disease.

In fact this would be just the start.

Whatever leftist ideology you don't conform to will be called a disease and you will be taken in for treatment.

I think I remember guns being taken from Vets that had been treated to stress syndrome and depression. I remember telling everyone I knew that if you are a gun owner I wouldn’t advise going to a Dr. for depression or anxiety and be careful what you say and having it in your file because of the healthcare and records not being private. This will be an (un)intended consequence of ths nonsense.
