I was in Manassas also. Many women there, young and old. How many people would you say were there, Belle? I’m guessing about 10,000.
Kevin,
I think that’s about right. I saw 2 different lines that each stretched for blocks. Plus hundreds of people in a grassy area across the train tracks where a large TV screen was set up. All kinds of people. Young, old , alone & in family groups. I saw someone waving a huge black and white flag with a picture of a cannon on it that said, “Come and take it!”
This reminded me of the Chick-Fil-A outpouring. Many people seemed visibly relieved to see the like-minded. People are quietly - and not so quietly - appalled at the threat to losing forever the America we loved under Reagan. Ryan is one of those, like Reagan, who is a decent man and a gifted communicator. He’s smart, but humble, and is fighting for the country, not his own power. Not qualities the GOP-E will ever understand, but the people at the rally did.
