"Waiting for Forever" with Rachel Bilson, Tom Sturridge, Richard Jenkins, Blythe Danner, Matthew Davis, Scott Mechlowicz, Jaime King, Nikki Blonsky, Nelson Franklin
A young man, "Will," whose parents died when he was 10 and completely in puppy love with his best friend, "Emma," gets sent to live in another state with relatives. When he grows up, he becomes a street busker so he can travel to wherever Emma lives, from Oregon to northern California to southern California. He never has the courage to speak to her until she returns home to Pennsylvania because of her ailing father and her failed reality show. It was all right, and we gave it ★★★
"Cat Run" with Paz Vega, Janet McTeer, Alphonso McAuley, Scott Mechlowicz, Christopher McDonald, Karel Roden, D.L. Hughley, Tony Curran, Michelle Lombardo
NOT family fare - 'way too much nudity, the Full Monty both male and female, plus grisly hit-man torture scenes. A prostitute takes the hard drive containing footage of a rich businessman's massacre of all his party guests (half prostitutes) because an American congressman accidentally killed one of the girls (also on the drive). The EBGs (evil bad guys) spend the movie trying to kill her while two of her recent acquaintances work even harder to save her and her infant son. It was annoying during the first half, but it redeemed itself in the balance of the show. Again, NO CHILDREN! For non-squeamish adults, it was ★★★★
As Hubby occasionally has to say to me, "Shut up kid! It's only a movie."
And if you know where that line came from, you get another ★
