With Three Months to Go, Uncertainty Reigns for Undecided Voters
Yahoo News ^ | August 10, 2012 | Tim Skillern

Lyn Vaccaro admits it: "I'm officially an undecided voter."

That's a big confession for the 50-year-old single mom in Milwaukee, who says she has spent "a significant amount of time as a well-known conservative."

But Vaccaro, who works at a natural foods store, says she now feels that she can't put her support behind either candidate. …

"I'm dreading November," Columbus, Ohio, public school teacher S. Alexander Cooke writes. "Why? Come Election Day, I'll cast my vote either to re-elect President Obama or to replace him with Mitt Romney. Either way I'll end up feeling like I'm the only one of the three of us who's willing to compromise." …

"I don't know whom I will choose," Virginian Lyn Brooks writes. "But either way, I will probably be holding my nose when I make my selection."

The 44-year-old writer and novelist voted for Obama in 2008. And while change arrived, many changes weren't for the better. She writes that she disagrees with the president's policy of raising taxes on the rich: "The answer lies in increasing private sector employment, particularly in the small-business sector." …

Gives chills to consider an individual so ungrounded in core values of any stripe

I refuse to believe that there are still ‘undecideds’

They aren't undecided, they just aren't saying.

The right candidate would have helped them find some values to believe in.

Would not “uncertainty reign” for “undecided” voters by definition?

Amen! If there are “undecideds”, they are few in number. These few “undecideds” might be those that see little difference between the two candidates.

I’m one of those that sees little difference between the candidates however I’m not undecided ... I will vote for nether.

A write-in will be my choice.

This is just a guess. Perhaps many of the undecideds are working temp jobs which normally last six months and they are trying to decide the importance of a safety net after the six month contract ends (not that things will really be much different under Romney but they may buy into the ads they hear).

I think most of the undecideds know we’re not in a booming economy.

Then you have the idiots that have no idea.

And perhaps a few hardliner conservatives that still have not decided to vote for Romney but have not decided not to vote for him either.

This is all just a guess on my part. I really cannot relate to an “undecided” voter.

Decision, decision ... to vote for a blatant socialist or a not so blatant socialist, hummmm, let me think about that. Of course socialism and communism are only different names for the same thing in the long run. The outcome is the same, slavery for all those not part of the upper strata of control. IMHO

I think some may have temp full time jobs that are contracted 6 months. The average time to find a job is now 11 months. If they think about this, fear may drive them to where they feel there’s more of a safety net. Obama is that man (as far as they know from the MSM).

If you think it’s bad now, wait until 2016 (if Obama wins again) it’s unlikely a conservative will get in. I would guess by then at least 60% (maybe closer to 70%) of the working population will be working for the government, many more welfare recipients than we see today and private sector workers will indeed be the minority voters.

This is not your typical democrat vs republican election. It’s not even liberal vs conservative or liberal vs RINO.
It’s not even Obama vs Romney.

It’s Obama vs you and me.

Socialism vs America.

That’s the choice in 2012.

Socialism or America

The choice is clear.

Socialism or America

Unfortunately our choices for president are between a blatant socialist and a not so blatant socialist. Both will lead us down a path to communism.

We know where Obama is going and we know he will bypass congress to go there. That means, even if we have a majority it will not matter under Obama. They will be in a recess when Obama says they are in a recess. Because of this we need to get this man out of office and put him on trial. Otherwise a precedence is set and it's a precedence that is NOT in the best interest of a Conservative or the US Constitution.

I'm no Romney fan. Not even a supporter. There's nothing I can say positive about the man. In fact, I'm hoping some conservative like Sarah Palin primaries the man in 2016 if not run against him as an independent conservative. But today the choice is clear.

Obama's out to destroy us and if you don't see that you never will.

As for Obama destroying America because he is a socialist, well, so is Mitt ... look what he did to Mass. What he did there, he will do to the country.

I see absolutely no difference between Obama and Mitt. except Mitt will be more subtle.

I vote my conscience, and both of these candidates are socialist and therefore I will pass.

As for Obama destroying America because he is a socialist

I did NOT say that. Nor do I believe that.

Obama is destroying America because he hates America and all that it stands for. He thinks we have done terrible things in our past. He sees us as the war mongering thieves of the world. It's pay back time, that's how Obama sees it. Why do you think he's loved so much outside of the USA in places that share the same opinions about America.

Ever hear the joke, what's the difference between Hugo Chavez and Barack Obama? Answer: Hugo Chavez loves his country.

It's possible to be a socialist and love your country. He means well but his philosophy has been proven to fail. He just still has faith that it will work. You and I know it will never work. But his goal is to improve things in his country. He means well, but is dead wrong.

Obama hates America and has done nothing positive for this nation because of that hatred. Add that on top of his love for european socialism and you got a disaster.
