On social issues much of the GOP establishment believe the same thing the Rats do, they just make a weak pretense that they don't. At the risk of sounding like a one note poster pa significant part of the reason involving gay issues is that a significant number of GOP politruks are closeted queers. Think Steve Schmitz and why he really was so outraged over Palin. These people either reacted in private with rage or seething contempt at the crowds at Chick-Fila. Unfortunately most white middle class Americans do not realize they have no constituency in either party and are just looked at as a source of credulous fool voters for GOP establishment whores.

Our county Tea Parties are very active in getting conservatives into the Republican Party pipeline. We have seen some major successes and the RINOs (even if their heart isn't in the right place) are feeling the heat to do the right thing.
