If not cut at the bud, this will eventually result in an entire homosexual subculture within the military. Moral issues aside, this is terrible for unit cohesion and general battle preparedness.
Certainly hasn’t done the Catholic Church any good.
The Royal Navy made buggery a death penalty offense because commissioned officers were sexually assaulting ship’s boys. Predation of the lower ranks by male and female superior officers and non commissioned officers can completely destroy the military. In today’s political climate, their criminal conduct will be overlooked if not openly encouraged.
The only way to fix this now is to give a Dishonorable Discharge to everyone who took advantage of the policy and participated in the mischief. They have to know that misconduct will have consequences, even if it had political support.
Otherwise, the policy could be shifted back and forth depending on who is President.
You’re absolutely right. The homosexual cliques — in close quarters barracks — will be absolutely uncontrollable. You may as well as put oversexed men and weak-willed women together in the barracks.
Gays in the barracks is an explosive situation that will be terrible for unit cohesion and battle preparedness.
