Me too. It should be happening during and between campaigns no matter who is running.

That said, a good candidate can win in a landslide without the going out and rushing to get people registered. A good Conservative who knows how to speak (as Ronald Reagan did) could explain our philosophy to every group from gays to blacks and even those on welfare and win them over.

The truth is most people no matter what group they come from would prefer to make it in life, reach their dreams, succeed and perhaps become rich and be able to call it their own - something they did all by themselves.

There will always be the lazy crowd of course but that group is much smaller than you think if we can separate those who lost faith in the system from those who are just lazy.

With the right candidate who is conservative that is articulate, we can win almost by default.

Unfortunately Romney does nothing to excite the conservative base where the real workers reside --They may vote for him but don't look for any campaigning effort unless he does something to stimulate this base he is going have a tough time defeating the Obama machine

LOL! I live in one of the vaunted “battleground” states and the gop isn’t doing squat. Their efforts are limited to running ads. Its really something to behold. I don’t watch tv normally but every time I do tune in its solid ads. But on the ground there is zero enthusiasm.

I use a completely unscientific test to gauge sentiments. I count bumper stickers and lawn signs. To date I’ve seen about 8 or 9 total lawn signs and bumper stickers for willard. I see that many stickers for hussein in 1 or 2 days.

I can’t speak for other states but as of now, willard is getting stomped in VA.
