"At the top of my list of programs we don't need is one that costs $100 billion a year I'm going to get rid of and that's Obamacare," he said to cheers at a rally.
But then, a telling pivot: "By the way, that doesn't mean that health care is perfect. We've got to do reforms in health care and I have some experience doing that, as you know. And I know how to make a better setting than the one we have in health care."

Sounds like something out of Venezeula or North Korea.

Agreed. Re-elect Barry and we’ll have Canadian style single payer within a decade. All the dominoes were laid to fall that way.

Your comment, MHGinTN, heralds that your head is quite far
up Willard's RomneyCARE-promoting, tax-as-fee-scheming,
global-warming-hoax-imposing, rectum.
[and of course like all RomneyBOTs you, MHGinTN, attack FReepers
--cowardly behind their backs--, without giving them a ping.
HOW Romney is THAT!!!! (mucho)]

Chin up, FRiend. Remember 1992. Only two years into his second term, the Congress worked up the courage to impeach Clinton. And, they have *much* more material to work with on Obama than they did with Clinton. Futhermore, the liberals don't even like Obama (remember Jackson saying something about removing Obama's manhood). We need to focus on getting 2/3rds of the Senate powered by Republicans with a healthy portion of them being new, hot-blooded, Tea Party types. With 2/3rds of the Senate, Obama is effectively neutered at all levels. That should be our primary goal. Replacing him with a liberal Republican that our guys will be encouraged to work with is not progress in my opinion.

As horrible as RomneyCare is, there is a massive difference between states deciding on their own to do something Romney wants to and will implement some form of Romneycare nationally.
To pretend otherwise is utterly delusional.

You really think a Republican congress that would not have enough balls to veto any big government proposals from Romney would have the balls to impeach a re-elected and thus popularly approved and further more black, MSM beloved President? Especially after what happened when they tried that with Clinton?

See post #44. I have no desire for you or any one else to "sit this one out". That would be highly counter-productive. If it's my call, then I say get to the polling places and do your civic duty. However, as you say, the country is on fire. We need to be firemen about it: use controlled burns to save what we can, isolate the primary blaze, and then extinguish it. Starting a new fire to exhaust the oxygen of an old fire and snuff it out will never work without killing us all. Obama is the old fire; Romney is the new fire. I say isolate Obama.

It’s oxymoronic. Romneycare is not a Federal program.

Shouldn't they first revoke public health care in their own state?Massachusetts is under single party rule.
30% conservative, 30% liberal whackos, and the remainder mushy moderates.
The State House is "Occupied" territory; a clubhouse of cronies who are impossible to oust once they manage to slime their way into elected office.

“I DONT pay for ROMNEYcare. I will HAVE to pay for OBAMAcare. SEE the DIFFERENCE?”
You DO pay for ROMNEYcare, it’s funded by FEDERAL money which PRESUMABLY includes your TAX DOLLARS.
To: so_real
With the ‘executive order’ pen at the ready, the ONLY way to isolate Obama is to remove him from office via the ballot box. A GOP congress means nothing unfortunately. Obama is different from any politician that you and I have faced. Do not give this guy 4 more years....

“I think were in for an old-fashioned biblical chastisement, and that America will have to feel the wrath before we can again see the light.”
After only 54,000,000 abortions? That is only about one in seven of those Americans permitted to live by their mothers and their government. Judgement? Whatever for?
Heh.
God is not mocked. He will repay.

Never doubt that. Diogenesis is a one-person hate fest when it comes to Mitt--one of the best 2 or 3 allies Obama has on this forum.
No doubt the Obama team came by FR and read what's being posted, saw Diogenesis' and a couple of others' posts and realized they didn't need a trolling presence here, their job was already being taken care of.

There ya go again, being judgmental of others’ inward motivations ...No wonder our nation has had so much “hate crime” legislative movement...we’ve got citizens like you thinking perfect snapshots can be taken of strangers’ hearts, thereby leading legislators into thinking you can establish all sorts of criminal codes concerning the heart

And I know how to make a better setting than the one we have in health care If the "setting" is one in which each State decides for itself (which is what Romney has said and I'll believe him for now), that's a good thing.
If he has in mind a "setting" which is a Massachussetts-type framework for all we will depend on a GOP Congress to change his mind.
Either way, it is far better than what we have under the Won.
To: bkepley
Simply put, yes. Obama is an anchor at this point. His hard turn left during an election year is designed to get him safely out of office while still a powerful (liberal) leader before impeachment papers or handcuffs taint that visage. His own people want him out with his liberal agenda in Romney's hands for safe-keeping. The king makers know impeachment is the GOP's plan B to remove him and they are sacrificing their queen, Obama, in order to groom the next battlefield. The case against Obama, for any leader willing to pick up the mantle, is strong. I'd say the odds of impeachment or arrest are getting better every day.
