How does that jibe with the police report by officer Diana Smith collecting evidence at the scene when the ME arrived who records in her report that the “headphones” were “in his pockets or on him” [page 80]:

What do you want me to say? I posted a picture of them, on the ground, and tagged #7.

Maybe Officer Smith should have written:

"The headphones, which were actually earbuds, were in his pockets or on him or on the ground near his body which was approximately 50-feet from where the shooter stated the incident occurred."
