Which brings to mind the famous dictum of Ivan Karamazov. Although he is a fictional character, he told an immensely great truth when he said that "if God does not exist, then 'all is lawful'."
The takeaway here is: Only by bumping off God can man find his own proper sphere and scope in determining what is to happen on earth, according to the judgment of human instrumental reason in the service of fulfilling human mortal desires.
But if you "kill God," you necessarily kill the lawful and moral order of the world of which He is the exclusive Source.
Not to mention that to say "all things are lawful" is (logically) tantamount to saying that there are no laws at all.
Thus man is "free" to create them according to his own tastes.
I do believe that Obama has taken a page from Ivan Karamazov. As a consequence, his administration and its enablers and codependents are living out of a cesspool of moral degeneracy.
He may not "sound" like an atheist. He "says" all the "right words" of assurance that he is not one. Even today, in America, that identification would be politically risky for him.
But judging from his actual works in office, it is abundantly clear to me that he is one. God places demands on human souls that he simply does not wish to acknowledge, let alone to bear. And he is bringing our nation to wrack and ruin as a consequence. In the process, destroying the legitimacy of our foundational values as a nation — with which he has exactly zero sympathy. In consequence, any person who espouses them is his natural enemy and will be "dealt with," Chicago-style.
I do not understand why so many of my Christian friends seem undisturbed by this situation. It seems they want to fight another battle entirely — i.e., by making Romney the "real" Adversary, thus focusing their angst and energy against him.
To them, it is clear that Romney is the demon in this piece, not the Liar-in-Chief — who only needs four more years to thoroughly ruin us....

If God does not exist, meaning the living God Who exists outside the space-time universe, then envy, the most-cold-blooded sin of all, becomes both permissable and fashionable.
In his book, “Envy: A Theory of Social Behavior,” Helmut Schoeck calls our humanist age the “age of envy.” By this he means that fewer people than ever are ashamed of being envious, seemingly believing that the fact of their envy is proof that social injustice has been done, that the envious one is in fact justified in crucifying the object of his envy. Schoeck comments:
“Suddenly it has become possible to say, without loss of public credibility and trust, ‘I envy you. Give me what you’ve got.” (p. 148)
But what if the object of envy is the real masculinity of a straight male, or his ability to beget children? Do we dare consider that envy is the driving force behind the “gay” movement to feminize straight males, ridicule those who refuse to submit, and sexually pervert their children?
And what ugliness fuels the virtually nonstop crucifixion of Christianity, the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, “right-wing fundamentalists” et al but envy.
Evil is so frightening because it looks just like us. This being the case, if instead of Jerry Springer’s face and the faces of Katie Couric, Hollywood limo progressives, and Obama and his handpicked henchmen, to name but a few, Americans saw instead the face of the envy-bitten, black-toothed, ever-oily Grimma Wormtongue there would be no more confusion. No more tuning into Jerry and Katie or idolizing Obama and Hollywood progressives.

Josef Stalin, Herr Mengele, to mention a few, and expecially Uncle Karl Marx. (Honorabel mention to
