The Environmental Protection Agency is going to require all consumers to buy at least four gallons of gasoline from certain gas pumps after the new E15 ethanol-gasoline blend is introduced into the market. The new regulation was revealed in an Aug. 1 letter to the American Motorcyclist Association, which expressed concern that the vast majority of motorcycles and ATVs in use today arent designed to operate on E15 fuel and residual fuel from a pump that serves multiple blends might harm these tanks. The use of E15 will lower fuel efficiency and possibly cause premature engine failure,

Let’s git er done. Contact your congresscritter and get them to get on board with the other 103 co sponsors and support H.R.750 - Defending America’s Affordable Energy and Jobs Act.
It effectively strips the EPA of the power to regulate.

If they can make you buy insurance, they can make you buy four gallons of gas. As long as it goes to USSC and Roberts rules on it.

What if I just need a gallon for my mower's gas can? Would the EPA be happy if I promised to splash a pint on the ground to clear the E15 crap from the nozzle?

I like that idea! My motorcycle has a 2.6 gallon tank, so if I pump enough to fill it or top it off will the gas station refuse my money?
What a bunch of f’ing controlling creeps.
To: Nachum
To HELL with the environment.
Ethanol ruins engines.
PERIOD.
End ALL government regulations.
ALL of ‘em.

Sounds like more of that Agenda 21 crap: Restrict humans to metropolitan areas so Mother Earth (sic) can have her own quiet spots to relax in.

We ALL need to resist this.
By any means necessary if it comes to that.

Time to end the EPA and all Ethanol subsidies. Oh no we must have E15 so more brown people will starve in third world countries.

so if I pump enough to fill it or top it off will the gas station refuse my money.
Actually almost all pumps around here (Indiana) are either swipe your credit card or pre-pay in cash.
So you're gonna pay for a 4-gallon minimum no matter how much you pump.

Damn communists have destroyed America. If Romney gets elected disband the EPA as it now stands and build a new unit to look into those regulations to eliminate. States will not be allowed to build their own fuel requirements. First no ethanol allowed in gasoline. Allow only one additive for summer gas nationwide and no additives for winter fuel. TCP and like additives by the gas company will be allowed as long as they do not change the octane of the fuel.
This can and should be done as aviation fuel was regulated nationwide. I should know, I bought enough in many States and the fuel was the same because of engine requirements. Only found one problem at a private small airport in AK and I had to add one pint of TCP to cut octane for one of my planes to maintain engine temp. (twenty or more years ago)

Next Ground Hog Day would be a good day for Pres. Romney to sign the bill abolishing the EPS and all rules foisted on us in the last 4 years....perhaps 10....

Why not simply follow the comments in firearms and ammunition threads? “Stock up...BLOAT, etc.!” Wouldn’t that work just fine in the suburbs, when the “SHTF?” [Heh, I’m joking. Don’t build unnecessarily dangerous storage or drive fuel prices sky high like firearms and ammunition.]

So you're gonna pay for a 4-gallon minimum no matter how much you pump.Sneaky. You'll destroy your bike's engine all while being penalized every time you fill-up.

Ethanol will destroy engines that are not designed or modified to burn it. E10 was bad enough, but E15 will damage a lot of engines in the near future.
