I think the polls are spot on.

The GOP nominated Mitt Happens despite everything we did to stop it.

Right now, he looks the GOP version of Michael S. Dukakis - complete with “heas in the deerlight” look.

And he’s been ineffectual in fighting Obama! If we needed a loser, why on God’s green earth couldn’t we have run John Sidney McCain again!

You need to go look at the poll, it is a +9 Dem oversample.

“nominated Mitt Happens despite everything we did to stop it.”

Well I guess that wasn’t a hell of a lot was it? Considering he won the GOP nomination.

Instead of what? Running someone who couldn't even persuade fellow Republicans to vote for him/her in the primaries? If they were ineffectual in fighting Romney in a group which at least 60% claimed to be conservatives, I don't see how we can expect them to be effective in fighting 0bama in the general election.

What did we do to stop it? All I remember about the primaries was that there were too many candidates and not enough people wanted to support the same one. Then there was the darned Ron Paul factor. The candidate I voted for didn't have a chance by the time of my state's primaries but I voted for him anyway.

Well, everything except run a stronger field or unite behind a notMitt candidate. Yeah, that was the party's fault. Not.

Agreed. Romney is the wrong GOP candidate at the wrong time. We dont need another tired establishment country club liberal to lead the charge. We need a principled comservaive that could tear Zero to pieces.
