I am not so sure that I agree with you about the ‘deserve’ part, but it IS a law that the libs put forward, and it IS forseeable. So screw ‘em. Send out the notices on the eve of election day.
I said deserve because those employees shouldn't be hit cold turkey with it if they are possible workers to be let go. I realize they are aware of the possibility anyway but like you say it is the law.
