Maybe this is what President Reagan meant when he said: “Vietnam was a noble cause”. By losing that war, we lost 2 decades of access to them. I’ve always believed that if I had fought there, I would have come home with a wife.
I knew a guy who came home with a Vietnamese wife. She’s much older now but still very cute—and she owns a good deal of north San Diego County. They’re still very happily married and are great-grand parents.
