Well....it depends.

"Buck Naked" means he wasn't wearing any clothes.

"Buck Nekkid" means that he wasn't wearing any clothes and was up to something.

I'll leave it to the rest of the thread to decide specfics. :-)

I always heard it thusly:

Naked = without clotthing

Nekked = without clothing and UP TO SOMETHING!

In other parts of the south it's called 'nekkid'

Nekkid is not simply being without clothing--It means you are gettin' nekkid for mischevious purposes. Naked is natural; nekkid is naughty - slang/urban dictionary
